Born and raised in Salisbury, Curtis has served as First Selectman for ten terms, as well as several terms as Second Selectman before that. He is running to continue recent efforts, both local and regional, that are important for our residents and neighbors. These include sidewalks for pedestrian safety, public control over responsible solid waste disposal, expanding housing for working families, maintaining town infrastructure, conservation and water management, including our very important lakes.

Barrett Prinz - Board of Selectman

Barrett and his family live in Lakeville; their three children have graduated from Salisbury Central School. He is an attorney with more than 25 years experience in private practice and for international NGOs. He is currently the general counsel for a global public health non-profit that helps the U.S. and foreign governments strengthen their public health systems to contend with important and difficult health challenges. Barrett has been a member of the Salisbury Central School Board of Education since the fall of 2016. He is an active squad member for the Salisbury Volunteer Ambulance Service, a board member for Salisbury Family Services, and has been a volunteer for youth sports and non-profit organizations in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts for more than 20 years.

Born and raised in Sharon, Emily spent her summers on Mt. Riga in Salisbury. Before moving back to Salisbury in 2013 to work at Ackerly Brown, she practiced environmental law in New York and New Jersey. Emily opened her own firm, Vail & Vail, in Salisbury. She has served on the board of Project Sage (formerly Women’s Support Services), the Salisbury Housing Committee, and SOAR.

Lauren Brown - Board of Education

Lauren and her wife, Caitlin, have called Lakeville home for the past ten years. She currently serves as Executive Director of SOAR, following seven years of teaching third grade at Indian Mountain School. A native of the East Coast, Lauren earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Western Connecticut State University, and her Master’s in Elementary Education from Sacred Heart University. She later spent seven years in California teaching 1st through 4th grades before returning east. Beyond raising her ten-year-old and championing public education, Lauren is an active volunteer with Project Sage.

Liz Dittmer has lived in Lakeville for more than 25 years and is in her 18th year as an Instructor of Mathematics at The Hotchkiss School. She and her husband, Marc, have four children between the ages of 7 and 14, all of whom have attended Salisbury Central School. Liz believes in the value of parent voices and looks forward to continuing to represent the parents and students of Salisbury.

Allen has been a Salisbury resident and volunteer since 2003 when he and his wife, Robin, purchased Whippoorwill Farm. A lifelong farmer, he believes in the value of personal commitment and service to community as a bedrock principle of our small town governance. “We’ve got a lot to be thankful for in a town like Salisbury, and I would like to be a part of the continuation of our success as a community. I urge others to get involved, even in a passive way (attend meetings), because it really is all of us, not just a few.”

Danella has been a resident of Salisbury for 47 years. She is an Organizational/Industrial Psychologist and author of Career Wise: Proven Strategies for Thriving at Work. Danella has been an Alternate Commissioner on P&Z since 2014. “Serving is a heavy responsibility that requires fairness to all and attention to: upholding Salisbury’s Planning & Zoning Regulations; promoting the town’s economic viability; protecting our environment; safeguarding residents’ quality of life; being mindful of legal boundaries and respecting applicants’ rights. Importantly, vision is needed to meet changing community needs.”

Originally from New Zealand, Cathy served as Managing Director of AC Nielsen (NZ) Ltd before moving to the United States in 1993 and becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1996. She and her late husband, Bob, bought a home in Lakeville in 1998. Cathy has been actively involved in the Lake Wononscopomuc Association during her time in Lakeville and has served as a board member of the Alumni of the University of Otago in America since 2016. Cathy became a full-time resident of Salisbury in 2012, and since that time has been a vital member of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Jennifer has been a resident of Salisbury since 2022 and a member of the SDTC since 2024. She attended Rutgers University, studying journalism. Jen then moved to Los Angeles and built a successful 30-year career as a TV sitcom and feature film writer and producer. She has worked with the Planning and Zoning Commission and other Land Use boards over the past two years as she oversaw an extensive remodeling project on her own home in Salisbury. The experience taught her the importance of balancing the property owner’s desires with the needs of the community and the environment. Her current project is removing invasive plant species in the wetlands on her property.

Beth Wells and her husband live in Lakeville. She is a LEED-accredited practicing architect specializing in residential and retail work. Her professional passions are sustainability, maintaining our natural resources, and design that is sensitive to the environment. Before her move to Lakeville, she served on community design boards in Los Angeles for many years. Beth served as an Alternate on the Zoning Board of Appeals before becoming an Alternate on P&Z in 2024. She is committed to preserving the feel and history of Salisbury and shepherding its growth in ways that are thoughtful and reflective of the concerns and values of her constituents.

Flora Lazar - Region 1 Board of Education Representative

Flora Lazar is a retired scholar and psychotherapist. She has written about education and mental health policy, has worked with children and adults, and collaborated with schools to address the emotional and behavioral needs of students. Flora founded and led two non-profits promoting

children’s social-emotional learning and civic engagement, and worked with Chapin Hall, a center of public policy research on children and families. Flora produced the film “Kings of Pastry,” related to vocational education. She has served on the boards of several educational non-profits and currently serves on the advisory board of the state’s Behavioral Health Advocate. Flora moved to Salisbury in 2020 and lives here full-time with her husband, Lee Greenhouse.

Roxanne grew up in Lakeville. After pursuing her law degree at the University of New Haven and Roger Williams University School of Law, she interned with CT Family Services Judicial Branch, worked as a data specialist/court advocate for Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and as a court advocate at the Elizabeth Buffam Chace Center for Domestic Violence. She returned to the Northwest Corner with her husband, Brenden Lee, and their two children, and has been a real estate agent for William Pitt Sotheby’s in Salisbury for the last 8 years. Roxanne was appointed to the ZBA as an Alternate in 2016 and a full member in 2018.

After living in Salisbury part-time, Cori and her husband, Jon, have made it their full-time home. Cori has practiced investment management law for over 25 years. For the past eight years, she has been on the board of the Pennsylvania SPCA, serving as Chair of the Finance Committee for five of those years. She was a member of the board of the League of Women Voters of Philadelphia, serving as Voter Services Chair. During the 2020 and 2024 elections, Cori worked with the Election Protection Program of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights.

M.E. has lived in Lakeville for over thirty-seven years, starting out as a part-time resident. She happily became a full-time resident in 2017 when her law firm moved its office from New York to Lakeville. A graduate of Smith College and Columbia Law School, M.E./ has practiced law for more than 40 years. She has served continuously on the Board since 2019, first as an alternate, and then as a full member. She is running for re-election.

William “Scooter” Tedder - Board of Assessment Appeals

Known in the area as a skilled and hard-working carpenter/building contractor, Scooter has been volunteering and contributing to the town for many years, especially as a director on the Salisbury Winter Sports Association (SWSA) board. He was an Alternate on the BAA before moving up to replace Charlie Kelley in 2020.
